Our work
The AFP has offices across Asia with strategic and operational engagement responsibilities. We have staff based in Cambodia, China (Beijing and Guangzhou), Hong Kong, India, Laos, Myanmar, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Thailand, and Vietnam (Hanoi and Ho Chih Minh City).
Many of our offices across Asia have an area of responsibility covering additional countries, with a total reach of 26 countries or jurisdictions across Asia.
We engage with our regional law enforcement partners to combat a range of crimes including:
- terrorism
- drug crime
- human trafficking and people smuggling
- crimes against children
- money laundering and financial crime
- serious and organised crime.
We also work with them on law enforcement training, initiatives and capacity development in line with Australia’s national interests.
Our extensive reach across Asia aims to have maximum impact and supports our operations in the region.
