Child Exploitation Charges
This is a joint media release between the Australian Federal Police and WA Police.
A 57 year old Perth man has been charged with several offences following an investigation by the Joint Anti Child Exploitation Team (JACET), which is made up of officers from the WA Police Child Abuse Squad Detectives and Australian Federal Police.
JACET officers executed a search warrant on the man’s home yesterday (13 April) and seized numerous items allegedly containing child exploitation material.
It will be alleged the material contained images of the man committing numerous sexual offences against several children over a period of approximately six years.
The man has been charged with the following offences;
- Four counts of Sexual Penetration of a child under the age of 13
- One count of Possess Child Exploitation Material
- One count of Indecent Dealing with a child under the age of 13
- Two counts of Indecently Record a Child under the age of 13 years.
He is due to appear in the Perth Magistrates Court today (April 14, 2016).
