Adelaide man arrested on child exploitation offences

This is a joint Australian Federal Police and SA Police media release.

Detectives from the Joint Anti Child Exploitation Team (a partnership between the Australian Federal Police and SA Police's Public Protection Branch) arrested a 34-year-old man from the North Eastern suburbs of Adelaide for three counts of Making a Child Amenable to Sexual Activity.

The arrested man was granted police bail and will appear in the Adelaide Magistrate Court on 17 April.

Members of the public who have any information about people involved in child exploitation are urged to call Crime stoppers on 1800 333 000.

CHILD EXPLOITATION IMAGES, NOT ‘CHILD PORNOGRAPHY’

  • Use of the phrase 'child pornography' actually benefits child sex abusers:
  • It indicates legitimacy and compliance on the part of the victim and therefore legality on the part of the abuser
  • It conjures up images of children posing in provocative positions, rather than suffering horrific abuse

Visit our website at www.afp.gov.au for all the latest information on the Australian Federal Police

Every photograph captures an actual situation where a child has been abused.

This is not pornography.
