The AFP is dedicated to preventing Australians from becoming victims of online crime. Initiatives include:
ThinkUKnow - ThinkUKnow Australia is a partnership between the Australian Federal Police and Microsoft Australia which aims to raise awareness amongst parents, carers and teachers of the issues which young people face online. The website provides information on the technologies and applications young people use to have fun online, the risks they may face and how to stay in control, and how to report when things go wrong. There are also resources which can be downloaded, an e-newsletter, and a button for reporting abuse. Presentations for parents, carers and teachers can be booked through the website.
