Fatal collision in Kingston

ACT Policing is investigating a two vehicle collision in Kingston today (Monday, 1 December) that has resulted in the death of an elderly woman.

About 12.10pm a white Mazda sedan and a light truck collided at the intersection of Wentworth Avenue and Mildura Street.

The driver of the Mazda, an 89-year-old woman from Aranda, was conveyed to The Canberra Hospital by ACT Ambulance in a critical condition however she died a short time later. The two male occupants in the light truck were not injured.

The eastbound side of Wentworth Avenue remains closed to traffic as ACT Policing’s Collision Investigation and Reconstruction Team investigate the incident.
